Coming up next, we've got Shroud City and Gold Cap. These two Hawaii based rap artists are making their mark in hip hop. Their recently released single, Fade, is a dope and emotional collaboration that brings up issues like fighting Titans, history repeating itself, and the struggle to hide pain. The track's lyrics tell the rappers' beginning, but not necessarily, their end. "Fade away, I been somewhere in the 808. Ain't that much in life that they could take away."

Shroud City is a 29 year old rapper. Born in Los Angeles, California and raised on Kauai, Hawaii, sunshine is his friend. Growing up in the concrete cities of Cali and the tropical ghettos of Hawaii, "my music reflects the struggles, pleasures, emotions, colors of these diverse cultures and their influences on me and my perspective" he says.
Gold Cap is also from Cali-- he's from inner city of the Bay Area but made his way to the Hawaiian paradise. Since his move, he is able to reflect on his experience in the unforgiving streets of Northern California and his newfound life in Hawaii, painting vivid pictures of loyalty, betrayal and hardship --all while staying true to the craft and culture.
