Animal the Beast Drops Dope New Single - 'Slide'

Animal the Beast is a diversified artist with a unique free flowing sound. Inspired by both East and West coast sounds, this 26 year old heavy hitter captures the energy of the room and amplifies it through your speakers. His new single, entitled "Slide" is a fun track that shows off Animal's versatility and raw talent on the mic. On his new song, Animal the Beast is dropping bars with a solid, classic flow.

Originally from the Boogie Down Bronx, the birthplace of hip-hop, the 26 year old rapper now calls Salt Lake City, Utah home. But whether he's riding on the number 4 train or snowboarding in Park City, his lyrical content is raw, fresh, and feels straight outta the basement. Check it out:

"Make a nigga spend it all, add you to the wishlist."

What drives your lyrical content?
My Life experiences, whether it be the situations I go through with everyday life, hook ups, heart breaks, or even nights out with crew... I try to incorporate it all into my music.

"Life is a movie, where is my Oscar"
How did you get started?
I started out just freestyling and having cyphers with groups at house parties, and people used to always say they liked my flow. So after awhile, I started recording in friends' apartments releasing a couple songs on SoundCloud ...eventually linking up and recording with actual studios and putting my music on Spotify, Apple and Tidal.

Who did you listen to coming up?
Coming up I listened to a lot Wu tang, Method Man Young Jeezy, and Nas. I also grew up in a Latino household, so I listened to a lot of reggaeton and batchata ... so Wisin y Yandel, Daddy Yankee, Aventura and Don Omar are all artist I listened to, as well as Too Short, Tyga, and Snoop Dogg.

What your dream collab?
If I could choose to work with anyone it would have to be the Wu Tang Clan , their music brings so much energy. It would be amazing to get on a track with them.

So for most people, 2020 did not go as planned. What are your goals for next year?

My goals for 2021 would be to release more music, a song every month, and to be more engaged with my social outlets to bring a bigger following to my platform.
