Ohio Rapper, Crizalogy -- EP Review: 'Anthologies'

Crizalogy is a 22 year old multifaceted artist who puts his own spin on hip hop music. His debut EP entitled "Anthologies" is a musical introduction to his storied life.

Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Christopher Hughes lived in a multi-generation household with his mother, his grandparents, and his great-grandparents. But at age 6 things went left. His parents split, his grandparents moved to Fairview Park, Ohio, and Chris got left back in the first grade. By 13, he'd started rapping and recording releasing his music and videos digitally.

"Anthologies" was produced by Johnny Bangz, and it consists of 4 tracks: Jim Brown, Real Homie, Spoil You Ft. Kristian, and Good Vibes. Each song has a unique beat and vibe. Lyrically, I f*ck with Spoil You. The track tells a romantic story by treating your girl like she is your entire world by appreciating her, giving her the wants and needs she deserves, and most importantly, respecting her..." I don't care about the cost, want you looking like a boss."

In addition to the EP, Crizalogy has released a number of singles including  'Drop It' and 'Super Wet in 2019, then 'Drop It (Remix) featuring Tony $eeker' and 'Cate Schmiedl' in 2020.

Some of the hats he wears include rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, audio engineer, composer, interviewer, director, writer, producer, actor, film editor, animator, cartoonist, voice actor, fashion designer, graphic designer, music video director, music video editor, video game producer, author, YouTuber, and business person.  But despite his many talents, his path success has not been easy...

After graduating high school, Hughes went to Cuyahoga Community College for audio engineering until he dropped out and moved to Winter Park, Florida to go to Full Sail University for the same program. He ended up dropping out again and went to Valencia College in Orlando, Florida for Business Administration. He then dropped out the third time and moved to Columbus, Ohio. On June 26th 2019, Hughes was arrested and was facing charges for driving with a counterfeit license plate and an unregistered vehicle.

Charges were eventually dropped, and messed up life choices make for good music. But we're hoping its all good vibes from here...
