Zül-Qarnaįn Talks 'Black Romance'

New Orleans native, Zül-Qarnaįn is a hip-hop artist who infuses local and international vibes into his conscious music. From a tribute to the Black national anthem (Lift Every Voice and Sing), to reflections on self-love and systemic incongruity, Zül is putting all the cards on the table in his new song entitled "Black Romance"

"Black Romance", he explains, "is a tribute to the greatness of the Black Woman & Man in America. In spite of all the traps and systemic injustices put in place to stop our growth and development, the Black American as a whole continues to flourish, influence, and be a catalyst to the worlds of black culture."

"Black is unmatched. Black is so honorable. Why you think our enemies are so volatile"

The track has the soulful funky vibe of Outkast meets Busta Rhymes and Talib Kweli. A natural lyricist, Zül-Qarnaįn so effortlessly transitions between spoken word, song, and rap flows to deliver the conscious and much needed message in "Black Romance". This is a song you need to hear.

"Black Romance" is the first single off Zül-Qarnaįn’s upcoming project titled "The MESSAGE". The song is available on Spotify. You can listen to it here
