ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: Chicago Rapper, Ottowan is Letting Off Steam on 'Refund'

There's some summer heat coming off the west side of Chicago. Up-and-coming rapper, Ottowan just dropped a gritty new single entitled, Refund. He's fed up with the grimy sh*t he's experienced from friends and family, and the rapper took his feelings into the booth. He explained, "people been doing snake shit in my life and so this is basically saying 🖕🏾." Ottowan says  "I caught friends and my dad on camera stealing on me... everybody I used to f*ck with turning into enemies."

"Don't run at me with sh*t you heard unless you seen it with your eyes."

The track's beat has that Pooh Shiesty kinda vibe. But Ottowan's flow is more subdued; he's like a quiet storm with controlled volume and compact intensity. The track's lyrics are raw and reflect the real sh*t the rapper is experiencing.

The rapper explained his motivation in writing the track. "This song, 'Refund' is  me writing about the night my friends stole my cash, and I pulled out my firearm (legally owned) and they gave it back…. That’s why it’s called 'refund'."

Last month, Otto also teamed up with Melo on another dope song. He dropped a video for "No Cap". Check it out below:
