Unrivaled Records Head, Daniel Cantrell Talks Overcoming the Pandemic Obstacles to Continue Making Beats and Signing New Artists, Releases 'Unrivaled Music Vol.2'

Daniel Cantrell is a rising producer and record executive. Like many in the music industry, the pandemic slowed his progress but not his drive. "The pandemic made it hard to sign new artists, he explained. "Despite that our roster is 4 artists deep!"

For the 29 years old from Las Vegas, New Mexico, music is like second nature. He's been making beats for 4 years. But he's also understands the art of the deal. "I've been involved with music business for like 7 years in administrative roles," Cantrell said.

Three years ago, Daniel Cantrell started Unrivaled Records. He recently dropped a new project under the label entitled "Unrivaled Music Vol. 2". The 14 track project of dope instrumentals is definitely a must hear for hip hop artists, producers and true rap heads.

Tracks like Dipped in Butter and 7 Bands gave that sexy, progressive R&B kinda vibe. But Cantrell's main entree sounds to be trap.  One of my favorite songs of the project is Dragon Fruit. I could easily hear a Rod Wave or Roddy Rich spitting some melodic trap or trap soul verses over this beat. Cantrell really hit the nail on this one.

When Every One Else is Asleeep is another fresh beat. Sonically, this track gives off a driving pulse of soul, r&b, and sweet sensuality.  Other golden nuggets on Vol. 2 include Fighting for U, Beautiful Reminder, and Looking at the Clouds.
