ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: Gohan the Supreme Kai Takes Listeners to a 'Heartbreak Moon' on New Album

Gohan the Supreme Kai is an independent hip hop artist who took his broken heart and made a whole hot album. He just released a new rap album entitled "Heartbreak Moon". His new-age, synthesized, melodic rap vocals and his emo edged lyrical content remind me of a Juice WRLD, but Gohan has his own story that he so honestly tells on the 14 track album.

He opens the project with a trap infused song called For the Better. The track has a melodic flow as Gohan introduces listeners to his  muffled, almost distorted sounding vocals. His complex sound is a clue into the young heartbroken artist's emotions.  With tracks like Go to Hell, Love in My Brain, and Dial Tone, you get the full range of this love train.

Take a listen to the album here.

On Will You, Gohan the Supreme Kai gives some depth when he pulls in Afrobeats as he sings, "I've been overseas. You take looks at me." Although he describes himself as a very quiet person who stays under the radar, the album gives him the ability to resonate an important message with the world. As we move closer and closer to Valentine's Day, I know that not everyone looks at that day with joy. There are many people who can relate to Gohan's emotional journey and will appreciate the vulnerability he offers on his new album.
