Rapper/Producer, Cush Wallace Gets Personal on New Single, 'Playin Games'

Molding a new and distinctive sound, Cush Wallace is becoming a musical force in Los Angeles. His West Coast hip hop energy comes to life sonically with dreamy, floaty croons and machete-like rap bars. As an artist, he uses his music to share personal anecdotes about relationships with women and his business dealings. His latest release is a single aptly titled Playin' Games.

On the song, he delivers a colorful rap flow that feels like a cross between R&B and melodic rap. The track's energetic beat is invigorating. Cush Wallace grew up between the thriving music hotspots of New York and Los Angeles, and he often draws sonic inspiration from his Afro-Latino roots. Musically, the track has some cool features like a syncopated high hat rhythm that isn't trap, but gives you a similar vibe. Also, Cush's vocals do a little modulation halfway through the song.

The rapper/producer landed a spot on Apple Music’s Hip Hop chart and Triller’s Top Trending Songs.
