ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: Charlotte Rising Artist, Yo Slime Raps With a Melodic Bounce

Coming up next is a dope rising artist out of Charlotte named Ikeem Stewart. He's more commonly known in the rap community as Yo Slime, and his futuristic sound and real life lyrics hit hard. His latest release is a dope melodic trap song entitled Pawda ft. Rello Dorai. He also just finished up his new EP project, and it's due out May 23rd on all streaming platforms.

When he raps, there's a melodic bounce to it. It feels authentically Southern and soulful. His story is intriguing, and it colors his lyrics. Growing up in West Philadelphia in a single-parent-led household, he watched as his my mom tried her best to raise him and his three siblings. Now, Stewart's a father himself and living in Charlotte, North Carolina; "I have two kids I’lonnah and I’neesah," he rejoiced. And he's going full force with his music. He's an artist on the rise.

In April, Slime released a single that got some heavy buzz entitled, Fake Love, and the music video set to be released on the 20th.

He also has a game on the Google game store called The Defenders and the creatively minded entrepreneur didn't stop there. He owns a clothing store called Fashion Thread Apparel.
